Does everyone need to download an app?
No. Players join from their phone’s browser using the host’s room code.
What do I need to host?
A browser, an internet connection, a shared screen, and players with phones. The host chooses the questions and runs the game.
Can I try it before hosting?
Yes. Try the sample question above, or open the join screen and look around. On this page the sample is a preview — the “Make it a game night” button is the part that opens a real room.
Can organizations make this their own?
Organization hosting and custom content are part of the Shabooya product plan. Explore hosting to see the intended experience.
Can I play while I host?
Yes. When you start a room you can take a seat yourself: the phone that opened the room answers the same questions and scores on the same board, so there is no second device to juggle. Guests still join with the code, and players never make an account.
